Reports
A report is one application at one moment, with coverage, findings and what changed since last time.
Every completed scan produces a report, kept with the site. Because reports are kept, each one can say what changed since the previous one - new findings, resolved findings, and anything that came back.
What is in one
- The headline and outcome for that moment.
- Counts by severity and by domain, each openable down to the evidence.
- The fix-first list in ranked order.
- Coverage: what ran, what failed, what was skipped.
- A comparison against the previous report for the same site.
A report is a record of a moment. Fixing something creates a new report rather than quietly editing the old one, so the history stays usable as evidence.
Questions
How long are reports kept?
For as long as the site exists in your organization. They are the history of the application, so they are not rotated away.
Can I compare two reports?
Each report carries what changed since the previous one for the same site, which is the comparison people actually want. Arbitrary report-to-report diffs are not available today.
